The franchising boom in the Philippines occurred only in the early 90’s despite it’s presence in Philippines since 1910 through Singer Sewing Machine. Coinciding with this phenomenon was the birth of Philippines’ first company that ventured into franchise development.
GMB Franchise Developers through the expertise of its founders gained from working in foreign and local franchise companies began its work and advocacy of illustrating to the market the benefits of franchising both from the business owners’ perspective and individuals wanting to become entrepreneurs. GMB Franchise Developers sixteen (16) years ago began an uphill crusade to be the wind behind the multiplication and growth of businesses through the responsible franchising route.
Franchise seminars were conducted in numerous venues throughout the Philippines as well as in the Asian Region and Middle East. GMB generously shared with people their expertise and the good news of franchising. Not long after, this hard work and commitment paid off.
